Another Season
Sunday, January 27th, 2008Shalom everyone!
This is definitely a new season. Things just feel different. Well, I could talk about all the present eruptions in the government or the up coming elections, or even the most important the state of the economy. But no, how about God’s word?
What does God say about all of this : The government, the elect, or even His economy. Is God’s word coming to pass with all these current events taking place, or do we choose to just slide by and not notice anything at all.
From a personal point of view, I cannot get too excited about the presidential candidates we now have running. However if I don’t voice my opinions and vote, then I feel it’s anyone’s game, and I really don’t have anything to say then. Get out there and vote, because there are alot more believers in this country then we realize. Isn’t it time we stopped wimping out and asert ourselves, and stop backing down from what we know is right, and what God’s word says about not being ashamed of the gospel?
Well I used to just sit around and say it’s someone elses duty or what difference does it make if I do this or that. But consider this, what we do or don’t do does affects others. So that means that if one of us doesn’t carry out a task we believe we are chosen to do, no matter what it is then we have just affected many more people than we can imagine, or even affect a situation. SO I would suppose that means in everything, and in every area of our choices. Even in the little things. I would like to challenge myself and you who might find yourselves reading this blog, to rise up, and take account of things, because your redemption draweth nigh. Luke 21:25-28
I am writing this from a very general commentary, yet a personal place. I am to consider the very things I just wrote about.
I would like to propose some more thoughts to you, to get you to respond in some way, instead of not at all.
How about Israel? Have we come so far out of joint that now our government is negotiating yet once again for more of tiny Israel’s land to be doled out to a people who will never be satified, and only want to destroy Israel?
And finally, how do we as Americans really feel about Israel. Do we believe that they should keep giving, and letting people rule over their choices, so no one will hate them? Or are we as Americans going to stand up and be part of Israels voice,[I am speaking of you & me, not just the key people in office.] because whether we believe it or not, if we stay neutral concerning Israel and God’s people, how do we ever expect God to bless us or America. Remember it always starts at the ROOT. Genesis12:2&3
